China Glaze Pink Plumeria

Today I have for you another of the China Glaze Summer Neons. Pink Plumeria is a lightish pink with lovely shimmer in it. It's a very pretty color, and the formula was great, very easy to apply. The only problem I had with it was that even after I went to bed a couple hours when it seemed fully dry and set, I woke up to a bit of denting :(. It isnt super noricable in this picture, and was only slightly more noticable in real life. I didn't wear it long, because the next day I had to take my cats to the vet and between that and a little bit of cleaning it chipped badly. But I loved it while it lasted!

I still have 3 more posts ready to go, but I am also hoping to spend the rest of this week swatching as many polishes from my stash as possible. If I don't, when I go back to work things will slow down here drastically, and I would like to try to keep posting to at least 3 times a week. I am also considering adding new features that I have seen some other blogs doing like weekly wants, monthly favorites, things like that but I haven't decided yet. I am really looking forward to my birthday in just over a month, I am hoping to finally get some stamping plates and lots of new polish!

So, if any of you have any suggestions of things that you might like to see here or even have any requests for what swatches you want to see, my stash is linked at the top so feel free to send me an email or leave a comment below!

Dollish Polish: Mario collection and Dolly DOES Polish swatches

Today I received my order of the Dollish Polish Mario collection! They are so amazing, and the shipping was super fast. They shipped on Monday, I didn't expect them til next week. But I'm not complaining! As soon as I opened the box I started thinking about what to layer these over for swatches. It was a couple hours before I could actually sit down and look through my stash, but when I did an idea came to me. I started pulling out my Dolly DOES Polish collection, and wouldn't you know, the colors seemed to match up fairly well! I don't know if she planned it that way or if it was a happy coincidence, but I will let you be the judge of if it works for layering after the cut! Image heavy, you have been warned! But first, the bottles (and why yes, I do have a Mario place mat! Huge Mario fan here):

A England Lady of the Lake

Today I have for you another amazing A England polish called Lady of the Lake. It is described on the A England website as: dusky purple with rainbow glimmer and glow. It is a beautiful purple, unfortunately there was no sun when I wore this to get the rainbow glimmer to come out, but it was there. I think its still beautiful even without it, so when it did show up in flashes of light it just added to it. Formula is exactly what I've come to expect from A England, which is flawless. I used 2 coats with a top coat here.

Orly Glowstick

Todays post is going to be short. Not too much to say about this polish other than ITS BRIGHT! Orly Glowstick is a neon yellow highlighter color. I don't really like yellow, but one way to make me like it is to make it neon. Formula was great, I used 2 coats over 2 coats of Wet 'N Wild French White Creme (or whatever its name is lol) Went on easily with no clean up needed. On to the picture!

Double Rainbow Honey!

Hope everyones week was good, I got behind on posting a bit this week. I just got all my pictures sorted through from my camera, and I have 5 posts worth to show you over the next few days. Nothing exciting planned for this weekend other than going to see Spider-man today. Anyone got any fun plans?

Today is a double shot of the wonderful Rainbow Honey. Rainbow Honey is my favorite indie brand, I have yet to be disappointed in any of her polishes, and I have all but 1 of the colors she has made! I still need to get my hands on Lunairetic from the Chrono Cross Collection which I think is being reformulated and wasn't for sale when I did the preorder for the Equestria Collection and bought everything she had lol. As soon as she gets it back in stock though I will be buying it! I have so many untried polishes it is very hard for me to decide what to wear next. I still have a few brads I have yet to wear or review on the blog, so I feel like I should get to those and not keep wearing the same brands over and over post after post. I'm going to try and do more layering like this though so I can get more posted before school and work starts up again on Aug 27th :(.

First I have 2 coats of Ephemeral from the Sakura Matsuri Collection. This is how Rainbow Honey describes it:

Ephemeral is a lovely bright pink shimmer, with strong blue and purple hues in artificial lighting. In the sun, its micro glitters in gold, pink, and turquoise sparkle and glisten.

It is a very pretty delicate color and went on very easily. Formula is a little thick but thats how I like it. This is it by itself:

Then I layered over it Rainbow Honeys The Worst Possible Thing from the Equestria Collection. This is Rainbow Honeys description:

The Worst Possible Thing was inspired by Rarity; A sheer layering polish, jewel encrusted just as Rarity would endorse, shimmering with opalescent flakes in purple and blue and a multitude of holographic and iridescent glitters.

Again, the formula was a little thick, but easily workable. For a glitter its perfect, no fishing around to get the glitter on the brush and it doesn't need to be dabbed on to get good glitter placement. Just brush it on and the glitter stays put. Here is both one coat and two coats over Ephemeral:

1 coat, no topcoat

2 coats, with topcoat
I love this combo, its very girly. But then I think it would be hard to find anything that The Worst Possible Thing wouldn't look good over!

Rainbow Honey products and info can be found at her site Rainbow Honey.

Rainbow Honey Mare of the Moon

Hope every one is enjoying their weekend! Today I have for you another Rainbow Honey Equestria Collection polish, Mare of the Moon. This one was a mini secret polish that was free with another mini of Celestia with full collection preorders, I hadn't wanted to use this one because it a mini size, but then she restocked and I picked up both Mare of the Moon and Celestia full size bottles so I don't have to worry as much about running out! They haven't come in yet, but they should be here early this week. Luckily she restocked at the end of June so I was able to get these before my no buy started July 1st :).

This color is so pretty. Rainbow Honey describes this best herself:

Mare of the Moon was inspired by Princess Luna; A deep and mysterious indigo polish with a violet color shift and a sprinkling of silver moon crescents and holographic glitters.

The formula was  great. A little thick, but really easy to apply and I didn't have to fish around for any of the moons to come out. I used 3 coats, on the first coat I didn't get any moons, but on the second and third they came out easily, which is actually better so they don't get buried under the polish and can be seen. This picture was taken during a brief moment that the sun was shining, you can see the moons, and a bit of that color shift too!

Jessica Iridescent Eye

Hope everyone is having a good week! The weather has been horrible here, so I had a hard time trying to get pictures of my last 2 manis. I have one of those for you today, a polish I bought a while ago but haven't worn til now. I don't know what took me so long! Jessica Iridescent Eye is one of the few Chanel Peridot dupes that are out there, but was one of if not the very first one. Its a beautiful color shifting duochrome. The formula was wonderful to work with, it went on so easily that I didn't even do any clean up when I was done. I only have one picture, all the rest were so dark and blurry you couldn't see anything. I think this shows off a bit of the different colors the polish shifts too.

China Glaze Under the Boardwalk

Yay its the weekend! We are supposed to try and go see the Olympic torch as it goes by around here today, but the weather is supposed to be super crappy and rainy so I don't know if we will. The forecast is nothing but rain and cold for the next 5+ days. Oh the joys of living in England lol. I hope everyone else has a great weekend!

Today I have for you China Glaze Under the Boardwalk. I ordered the whole Summer Neons collection a while back, and they just came in on Thursday. I immediately had to use 2 of them, so I currently have Ride the Waves on my toes (such a pretty blue!) and Under the Boardwalk on my fingers. I have seen a little bit of controversy about this polish from other bloggers, it seems there are 2 versions of this polish out there, a pink and a purple. Since there are already 5 pink~ish colors in this collection, I am pleased to say I got the purple version. I'm kinda interested to see why there are 2 different colors though. Seems kind of strange for a big company like China Glaze for this to happen, but I guess accidents happen to anyone!

I am horrible at describing colors, but I would call this color almost a berry purple. While not actually being neon, its still very pretty and unique, to me at least. I don't have any purples in my stash that are similar to this that I can find. Formula was great, went on easily in 2 coats. I did have to do a little clean up this time, and I will say that it didn't want to come off quite as easily as other polishes usually do. This color was pretty hard to photograph and get an accurate color. Out of all the pictures I took, this one was the closest I could get. No matter the lighting or angle they all came out way to dark! This picture was taken outside, with the sun behind clouds. I love this polish, and can't wait to wear the rest of the collection.

My first nail art

Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans! Happy Wednesday to everyone else, the week is half over! Today I have my first attempt at any kind of nail art. I am the opposite of artistic so I have put off doing any kind of nail art but decided that what I wanted to do for today was fairly straight forward so I would give it a go. It didn't come out half bad, so I'm happy! No clue how long it will be before I attempt anything again though lol. I do have the 3 different Bundle Monster sets on my birthday list, but that isn't for another 2 months. Anyway, todays mani is actually mostly my daughters idea. I did her nails first, and she came up with the color combos. I liked it so much I copied her :). Being 6 she was thrilled when she say my nails in the morning, I'm sure in a few years her reaction would be completely different lol.

I will start out with pics of her nails, then mine, so click the cut to see!

Essie Jamaica Me Crazy

Today I have Essie Jamaica Me Crazy, a really pretty purple shimmer. The formula was a little thin, but it still went on fairly easy. I used 2 coats and was opaque. I have 6 Essie colors and this is the only one that isn't blue lol. The first picture was taken in the sun, the second in the shade.
