Dollish Polish Totes Magotes

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a good weekend and those that are off today for MLK Jr. day enjoy it as well. Today I have for you Dollish Polish Totes Magotes.

Totes Magotes is a minty holo that was a limited edition color, so I'm sorry if you didn't get your hands on it! Its too pretty not to share though. It went on like a dream, I used 3 coats and top coat. I have a picture in shade and in sun to show the base color and the holo in this beauty.

What do you think of this color? Is it cray cray adorbs?? I think so. Come back tomorrow to see what I added on top of this, I love it just as much!!

Dollish Polish Walker Bait

Happy Saturday! Today I have a quick post for you. The Walking Dead returns tomorrow night, so I decided to wear Dollish Polish Walker Bait for the occasion. This limited edition color is an awesome green holo, and its the sort of green that looks a lot like the sickly green color of dirty zombies, but with holo! It is such an interesting and beautiful color, that I would have loved it even without the holo, but holo makes everything better! I used 2 coats that went on easily, in usual Dollish fashion, and 1 coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast. I love this color. Since its almost 9:30pm, this was taken under inside lighting with my husband holding my cell phone flashlight to bring out the holo better. I wanted to share this awesome color though!

Anyone else watching Walking Dead tomorrow night?

Dollish Polish Cold Winds Are Rising

Happy Friday!! I haven't posted lately, I was busy swatching all 1214 polishes I have on to nail wheels! We lost power one day, and I started swatching and then just decided to finish everything up. Its a relief to be done, as long as I dont think about the fact that waiting for me at my inlaws place when we get there in 3 weeks are about 20 more, and my birthday is next month which is also my month in my birthday group! lol. The wheels sure do look pretty :). I would love to have those swatch sticks though to do it all over again and be easier to compare colors. Anyway, as I mentioned, it is exactly 3 weeks from today that we get on a plane to move, leaving England behind. I am going to try to post more often, but it will most likely be older swatches I have stored, so don't mind the differing lenghts of my nails :).

Today I am going to show you Cold Winds Are Rising by Dollish Polish. I really love this color, its a very nice shade of gray with blue and teal glitters. Its based off of Game of Thrones, and I absolutely love that show! This is 3 coats which went on easily. The formula is just right, easy to apply and glitters distribute nicely.

 Enjoy the weekend!

Nerd Challenge - Space

Happy Friday! Is everyone looking forward to the weekend? My husband and daughter are going to see Monsters University tomorrow, but I can't go cause its only showing in 3D and it gives me a migraine :(. It sucks but oh well.

Today I have for you the next Nerd Challenge, Space! Now, I suck at nail art, so almost everything you will see will be what I can come up with from my stamping plates or can be done with my very very limited skills. I had a lot of different ideas for this one, but each idea will be covered in their own individual day later in the challenge. So, what I came up with is the moon and stars. I used the beautiful Dollish Polish Space, the Final Frontier - HYPERDRIVE as my base, 2 coats, and I will review this soon. Over it I stamped Essie No Place Like Chrome using plate HD07 from Bunny Nails.

Check out what the other ladies came up with!

Lac Attack Magical Musings Collection, part 1

Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and those that had yesterday off enjoyed it as well. I spent the day at the Harry Potter Studio tour, so it was a pretty amazing day for me! I loved it, and would gladly go back to see it all again. I had this big plan to start posting this collection one polish each day ending yesterday with what I wore, but I completely failed at that lol. So instead I will post it now, but a couple of my pictures came out super horribly so I will redo those and post a part 2 soon! I do have 7 of the 10 for you today. Lets get started.

Favorite Indies, part 4

Happy New Years Eve everyone! I hope you all have a fun and safe evening, we are staying home and not doing much of anything. My daughter is 7 and thinks it is the coolest thing ever to stay up til midnight :). No matter how bad or good your 2012 was, I wish for everyone to have a 2013 that is a million times better.

Lets move right on to those indie brands that I own the most of!

ABCs - M

We are up to M now, and today I have Master Chief by Dollish Polish. I am a huge Halo fan, so I immediately needed this polish. And then when she said she wouldn't be able to make anymore of this (as with Looking For My Mr Big), I grabbed 2 at the next restock she did. I love this polish, I'm so glad I got a backup so I dont have to worry about running out! This is a beautiful green holo. This is shown at 2 coats.

Check out the other ladies!

ABC challenge - L

Today I have for you a post I thought was going to post last week. Scheduling posts never seems to work for me so I give up lol. We are up to L in the ABC challenge, and today I have for you Dollish Polish Looking for My Mister Big. This is a very pretty violet shade with a blue duochrome flash and its also holo! I had wanted this for a while, but as soon as it was announced it was no longer going to be made after supplies ran out I made sure to grab it in her next restock (also bought 2 master Chiefs for the same reason lol). I used 4 coats here, it went on easily and once built up is amazing!

Lets see what everyone else did this week!

Sat-ART-Day - reptiles and frogs

Todays Sat-ART-Day challenge is to do reptiles and frogs. I used my BM15 lizard stamp. I did 3 coats of Dollish Polish Baby Gravy for a nice white sandy beach and A England Dragon for the lizards.

Not happy with it, but as I left it to the last minute it will have to do.

Check out the rest of the awesome ladies taking part!

Dollish Polish Zombie Flesh

Today is supposed to be zombie day in the Halloween Challenge, but I could not come up with an idea and couldn't get anything to look even remotely like a zombie! So I have decided to skip today, but in keeping with the theme I have Zombie Flesh from Dollish Polish for you!

Zombie Flesh is a sickly green/grey base color with small and medium black hex and tiny green and gold glitters. It is inspired by zombies and The Walking Dead, a show I love and hate at the same time! It looks just like what I would imagine rotting zombie flesh looks like. Here is 3 coats of Zombie Flesh on its own, no top coat:

Hope I don't have to skip any other days in any of the challenges I'm doing, it looks good so far, this one just kicked my butt since I have no zombie stamping plates, or brains, and zero free hand skills lol

ABC Challenge - A

Today is the start of the first challenge I am taking part in, the ABC challenge. I'm excited to be getting into challenges, I love to be organized so what better way than knowing what you are going to post ahead of time! We will be posting once a week, on Wednesdays, as we do one letter of the alphabet each week. The only rule is that something in your mani has to start with the letter of the week: polish brand name, polish name, color, style used to create it, anything. I am going to try to be more creative than just using brand name and polish name each week, so I can challenge myself to be better at nail art.

I received all 3 Bundle Monster stamping plate sets for my birthday last week, so I now have those to help me out! So far I love them, the designs are pretty cool. I did notice after my Bundle Monster organizer came in and I was removing the blue film off each plate and putting it in the organizer, that I was missing a plate. I looked all over to be sure it just hadn't fallen, and not finding it I emailed the company. They got back to me right away with a reply saying they were very sorry and that a replacement plate would be shipped out to me right away. Now, I haven't used any of the plates yet but the one for this mani since I just got them, but I can say I can't fault their customer service. Very pleased with that, and I'm looking forward to using the plates a lot in the future!

Dollish Polish: Mario collection and Dolly DOES Polish swatches

Today I received my order of the Dollish Polish Mario collection! They are so amazing, and the shipping was super fast. They shipped on Monday, I didn't expect them til next week. But I'm not complaining! As soon as I opened the box I started thinking about what to layer these over for swatches. It was a couple hours before I could actually sit down and look through my stash, but when I did an idea came to me. I started pulling out my Dolly DOES Polish collection, and wouldn't you know, the colors seemed to match up fairly well! I don't know if she planned it that way or if it was a happy coincidence, but I will let you be the judge of if it works for layering after the cut! Image heavy, you have been warned! But first, the bottles (and why yes, I do have a Mario place mat! Huge Mario fan here):

Nail Mail

Today was the last day of school, woohoo! I am now off work until the end of August. Looking forward to doing a lot of reading and making a dent in all my untried polishes. This past week I got in quite a few polishes I ordered, and am still waiting on quite a few more. Lets take a look shall we?

Picture heavy, click the read more!

Dollish Polish Expecto Patronum

Today I have my first Dollish Polish, Expecto Patronum. I only bought a mini size bottle, which I regretted almost instantly, and regret even more now that I have worn it. I will definitely be trying to get my hands on a full size! For this picture I used one coat of Expecto Patronum over 3 coats of Sally Hansen Polar Bare. Polar Bare is really sheer so I think I need to get a more opaque white but I love how this looks overall. Formula was wonderful. Picture is inside since its already evening here and there was no sun today anyway :(

Nail mail and recent purchases

Within the last week I have received my shipments from Spooky Bones, Dollish Polish (both from Etsy), and Ninja Polish. I was going to wait to post this until I got my Zoya order as well, but it can take a while to get stuff from them for some reason. Of course now it will be here tomorrow since I'm posting! I also bought a couple polishes recently while out shopping to show you. I have a 3 day weekend this week, so hopefully I can wear at least 2 of these colors in that time. Hope the sun stays out!

There will be lots of pictures so they are after the cut!
