New Anne Kathleen collection

*Press Sample Provided For Honest Review*

Today I have for you the new collection from Anne Kathleen that released today! It consists of 5 fun silver glitter toppers and is called Snowfall In Silver. Lets see them shall we!

First up is Silvana, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic star glitters and small silver holographic hex glitter. I used 1 coat over Orly Gumdrop, and it went on easily. I didn't have to fish for the stars, they came out on their own.

Next is Silvia, a linear silver holographic polish with holographic bar glitter. I'm not usually a big fan of bar glitter, but there is something mesmerizing about the way the holo makes this look that I love. I used 1 coat over Nubar Honeysuckle and again it applied easily.

This is Silver, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic hex glitters. I used 1 coat over Zoya Paz. Easy application, lots of glitter with just one coat.

Sylvan is a linear silver holographic polish with different size square holographic glitters. I used 1 coat over OPI Dating a Royal. I did have a slight issue getting a lot of the square glitters to come out, but it applied well other than that.

Last is Silvestra, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic hex glitters. I used 1 coat over China Glaze Mediterranean Charm. This is similar to Silver with the hex glitters in both, but still different because of the sizes used. This applied easily as well.

So there you have the newest collection from Anne Kathleen! I think there is something here for anybody looking for a silver holo glitter topper, there is enough variety in the shapes. These released today, so they are available now for purchase. Keep up to date with Anne Kathleen at any of the links below!

Pretty & Polished reviews

I hope everyone is having a good Saturday! I took my Daisy troop to the zoo for our end of the year trip today and it was lots of fun. Got to feed a giraffe and an elephant! But man I'm tired now lol. Only 3 1/2 more days of school/work left as well, I can't wait.

Today I have for you some Pretty & Polished colors. The Sweet Sixteen Collection is a trio of limited edition colors. I was given the opportunity to purchase these colors before the official launch, which was yesterday! I also have two colors that were included in my package in mini size for review as well of Miss Independent and Wax On top coat. Click the link for pictures and reviews!

Model City review

Is everyone having a good weekend? Mine has been pretty lazy, which is always good! I have 8 1/2 days left of work and then school's out for the summer!! I'm so excited. Especially since my CNS nails should be here tomorrow, then I just have to wait until next Thursday and I can put them on :).

Today I have for you a review of 3 Model City polishes. When Nina sent out the package with the giveaway polishes, she also included these three for review. I am wearing the impress stick on nails again, but with my CNS almost here I plan on doing lots of swatching with them!

On to the pictures!

Favorite Indies part 2

Today I have part 2 that was supposed to be posted yesterday, but I was busy and then too tired to post it! I will have part 3 later on today as well. I want to say first off, some of these pictures are not the greatest. Living in England natural light is limited with most days being crappy, cloudy and dark, so I have to do my best with indoor lighting and it just could not capture this. Lets get to it though shall we?

Favorite Indies

Last night I decided to make a couple end of year posts on who my favorite indie makers are and my favorite indie polishes. I was going to do top 5, and I started making my list. Which then grew to 10, then 15, and I just couldn't narrow it down. There are so many great indie makers out there, and as I have had even the briefest conversations with quite a few of them, I see them as the people behind the brand and that made it so much harder to stick to a top 5. So what I decided to do was list my favorite polish from each brand that I own (and for some tell what my favorite collection was if I have one). I am not putting these in any order other than simply by how many of their polishes I own. I am breaking this down into 8 brands over 4 different posts, for the next 4 days. As I only got into collecting polish really early this year, and indies not long after, these have all been purchased this year even if they were released before that. So lets see what indies I have shall we?

Sat-ART-Day presesnts - Tarts!

Today marks the first challenge in the new Sat-ART-Day challenge from Crumpets Nail Tarts! Fittingly, todays theme is tarts. I had such a hard time coming up with any ideas for this, especially since my nail art skills are limited lol. So, here is what I came up with!

Fruit tarts! (sort of lol) I used 2 coats of Orly Glow as my 'pastry colored' base, and stamped the fruit on using BM04 and BM05. The orange is Sally Hansen Sun Kissed, the grapes are China Glaze Grape Pop, the strawberry is Wet N Wild Everybody Loves Redmond and the lemon is Zoya Pippa.

I like the way this turned out, even if it isn't the best interpretation of the theme! I'm really enjoying these challenges I have going on, even if I have no clue what to do for a few of them!

My first nail art

Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans! Happy Wednesday to everyone else, the week is half over! Today I have my first attempt at any kind of nail art. I am the opposite of artistic so I have put off doing any kind of nail art but decided that what I wanted to do for today was fairly straight forward so I would give it a go. It didn't come out half bad, so I'm happy! No clue how long it will be before I attempt anything again though lol. I do have the 3 different Bundle Monster sets on my birthday list, but that isn't for another 2 months. Anyway, todays mani is actually mostly my daughters idea. I did her nails first, and she came up with the color combos. I liked it so much I copied her :). Being 6 she was thrilled when she say my nails in the morning, I'm sure in a few years her reaction would be completely different lol.

I will start out with pics of her nails, then mine, so click the cut to see!

Zoya Rory

I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far! Today I have Zoya Rory from the Beach and Surf collection. This is the first time I have ever worn polish that has only taken one coat. One coat AND I didn't have any clean up to do, it was that easy to apply. I think I'm getting better at application because this is the second or third time recently I haven't had any clean up to do. I'm quite impressed! I only wore this color for a couple days, because my Once Upon a Polish order came in yesterday and I just had to wear one of them! But in those couple days wear was good, no chips or tip wear, which for me is actually good. Zoya consistently has good polish, they are one of my favorite brands. Here is Rory in the sun:

Zoya Sooki

Anyone else excited for True Blood to return tomorrow night? I won't be able to watch it until Monday night which sucks, but comes with living overseas. In honor of its return, I chose Zoya Sooki for this weekend. I don't really wear a lot of red, though I do love a lot of the red polish colors out there. This one is great. Went on easily in two coats with Zoyas usual wonderful formula. I'm glad I actually got outside first thing this morning to take these pictures, because the sun is gone now behind dark clouds. At least this morning the clouds were lighter so there was more natural light lol. Both are taken outside in natural indirect light with the sun hidden behind clouds.

Zoya/Birchbox Blogger Trio & Giveaway!

Today I finally received my Zoya/Birchbox Blogger Trio in the mail! I don't know what it is about Zoya products taking forever to get here, but they are always worth the wait. I am very impressed by both the formula of these polishes, and the colors as well. I have to apologize in advance for the pictures, I was so excited to get these that I immediately swatched them when I got home so I could do this post, and it is crappy and rainy out. Pics are taken indoors with crappy lighting and so don't look nearly as pretty as they do irl and they all look really close to the same color which isn't at all true. Also I have been in the dish room all week so my hands pay the price, even though I have been using Lemony Flutter and Helping Hands by Lush all week. Good news is that Wednesday is our last serve day, and Thursday is only a 3 hour day of cleaning then I'm done for the summer! I should hopefully be posting a lot more after that when I am able to wear polish everyday. This is also the first time I have done swatches of a collection, so lets get to it!

First up I have Coraline. Its described as a warm juicy tangerine. I love it, this is 4 coats, but very thin coats so if you do thicker ones it would probably be 3:

Zoya Paz

This weekend I chose to wear Zoya Paz, one of the first Zoyas I bought but hadn't worn. I love this color, but couldn't get even half of its neonness to show up on camera. We still have no sunlight to speak of, and the indoor lighting makes the color look great, but just not neon. I'm definitely going to wear this one again this summer (probably a lot) and will try again with pictures. It is super bright in real life, much more neon than I thought it would be. I did this late at night and though it was dry when I went to bed, I woke up with dents all over. Glad I took pics right after it was done! This is between 3-4 coats, a couple nails needed a little extra, with Zoyas base and top coat.

Nail Mail and purchases!

Today I have one quick post to show the new polishes I have gotten in the last week, and a little later I will have the mani I had for last weekend. Got kind of busy and didn't have a chance to post these!

First up, I finally got my Zoya order from when they did there buy 3 get 3 free offer. It takes forever for me to receive Zoya packages for some reason, I have a few of the Beach & Surf collection on its way to me that are due sometime in the next 3 weeks.

Areej, Kieko, Mira, Yasmeen, Jem, Yara
Then I have some purchases I made here as new colors are finally coming in:

Hidden Treasure (rerelease version), Good to Grape

Wedding Crasher, Princess Cut, Red Velvet, Must-Have Iris, Save the Date

Passionate Pink, Marmalade, Coastal Surf, Rich Raspberry

Zoya Pippa

This is what I wore this past weekend. I took advantage of the Zoya promo they ran back in January to get 2 free polishes and just pay shipping. I picked Pippa and Paz, 2 colors I probably wouldn't have normally picked out, but since they were free I figured why not? I also got a couple other colors at the same time and their mini color lock system. I chose to wear Pippa as my first Zoya polish, and I think I did a disservice to Zoya  by picking a yellow as my first color to try. First, I'm not much of a yellow person, but I do love bright polishes and am getting into spring mode so a bright was what I wanted. Second, yellows aren't the easiest colors to apply most of the time, and I'm not the best at applying anyway! I used 3-4 coats to get everything evened out and I still wasn't completely happy in the end.

Now for pictures! Sadly there was no sun while I wore this, comes with living in England!

I decided I liked the color a bit, but wanted to try out my Hits Hefesto holo top coat so after a bit I added it on top. Made me like the color way more!
