Nerd Challenge - Technology

Happy Sunday! Today I have the Nerd Challenge, based on technology. I have been having major internet issues this last week or two, so I had to skip last weeks challenge. On top of that, we are moving back to the states at the end of August, so we are pretty busy getting ready for that. I am going to still try to post when I can, I have a bunch of stuff already saved to get through, so you might be seeing some very old swatches mixed with some newer stuff. But on to todays challenge!

For this, I went with a computer programing theme, and this shows you the extent of my freehand skills! I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White and then drew on using my KISS nail art pen in black.

Check out what everyone else cam up with!

Nerd Challange

Happy Wednesday! Today I have for you the first of a new challenge I am going to attempt, the Llama Nails Nerd Challenge! It started on Friday, so I'm posting a tad late, but I hope to be able to stay on time and post every Friday from now on. Here is what this challenge is:

So as you can see this week is inspired by math. I decided to attempt stamping again, so this is what I came up with! I used 3 coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White as the base, and stamped using Sinful Colors Black on Black with BM 311 and used KISS nail art pen in black.

I'm getting a little better at stamping, but I still need practice! The stamping looked better in person and before I topcoated though. Check out below to see what everyone else did!

Halloween challenge - Pumpkins

Today is pumpkin day for the Halloween Challenge! I had planned to use stamping plates to do them, but then decided to go freehand. I decided to do jack-o-lanterns instead of plain pumpkins. I used 2 coats of Revlon Marmalade and Kiss Nail Art pen to do the faces. I didn't wait long enough for the base to dry I guess, and the pen was dragging the polish, so you can see it is more dotted on than drawn on. The dots are more noticeable in the picture than they were in person, my daughter loved it so thats good enough for me! :)

Check out the other ladies pumpkins!

Sat-ART-Day - 50s

Todays theme is the 50s. I really like this one, I actually had a few ideas this time! I chose to do a poodle skirt. I used 3 coats of Color Club Blushing Rose, stamped BM04 with Sally Hansen White On and used my Kiss nail art paint. Not the most original idea I admit, I have seen this done before, but I wanted something I could do a little bit of freehand with. Here it is:

Definitely not the worst I have ever done, but I do think I should have used either a darker/brighter pink for the base or stamped/free handed with black. The pale pink and white are both just too light, though you can see it better in person.

Here are the rest of the lovely ladies taking part!

Halloween Challenge day 1

Today is the first day of the second challenge I am taking part in, the Halloween Challenge for Crumpets Nail Tarts FB group. Here is what the challenge is going to be:

There are a couple of the days I have no clue how I am going to come up with something, but I will do my best!

For today, I did candy corn, one of my favorite parts of Fall and Halloween! I love the stuff. I did this using 2 coats of Sally Hansen White on as the base, and then using my Kiss nail art polishes in orange and yellow. I did it all free hand, no tape or anything else to help me get the lines straight, as you can see lol.

So there is my attempt at free hand candy corn! Check out all the other lovely ladies taking part in this challenge:

My first nail art

Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans! Happy Wednesday to everyone else, the week is half over! Today I have my first attempt at any kind of nail art. I am the opposite of artistic so I have put off doing any kind of nail art but decided that what I wanted to do for today was fairly straight forward so I would give it a go. It didn't come out half bad, so I'm happy! No clue how long it will be before I attempt anything again though lol. I do have the 3 different Bundle Monster sets on my birthday list, but that isn't for another 2 months. Anyway, todays mani is actually mostly my daughters idea. I did her nails first, and she came up with the color combos. I liked it so much I copied her :). Being 6 she was thrilled when she say my nails in the morning, I'm sure in a few years her reaction would be completely different lol.

I will start out with pics of her nails, then mine, so click the cut to see!
