New Anne Kathleen collection

*Press Sample Provided For Honest Review*

Today I have for you the new collection from Anne Kathleen that released today! It consists of 5 fun silver glitter toppers and is called Snowfall In Silver. Lets see them shall we!

First up is Silvana, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic star glitters and small silver holographic hex glitter. I used 1 coat over Orly Gumdrop, and it went on easily. I didn't have to fish for the stars, they came out on their own.

Next is Silvia, a linear silver holographic polish with holographic bar glitter. I'm not usually a big fan of bar glitter, but there is something mesmerizing about the way the holo makes this look that I love. I used 1 coat over Nubar Honeysuckle and again it applied easily.

This is Silver, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic hex glitters. I used 1 coat over Zoya Paz. Easy application, lots of glitter with just one coat.

Sylvan is a linear silver holographic polish with different size square holographic glitters. I used 1 coat over OPI Dating a Royal. I did have a slight issue getting a lot of the square glitters to come out, but it applied well other than that.

Last is Silvestra, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic hex glitters. I used 1 coat over China Glaze Mediterranean Charm. This is similar to Silver with the hex glitters in both, but still different because of the sizes used. This applied easily as well.

So there you have the newest collection from Anne Kathleen! I think there is something here for anybody looking for a silver holo glitter topper, there is enough variety in the shapes. These released today, so they are available now for purchase. Keep up to date with Anne Kathleen at any of the links below!

OPI Yodel Me On My Cell

Hi! I had not planned on not updating for over 2 weeks, I thought I had some posts scheduled but apparently I did something and that didn't happen. So, I will manually publish posts and not rely on the scheduler, and I will keep this post short and to the point.

Today I have OPI Yodel Me On My Cell, a beautiful blue. I used 3 coats with top coat and it went on nicely. I used this previously as undies for Rainbow Honeys The Kraken. I love blue, but even though I have quite a few blues I seem to never wear them! I really need to fix that.

OPI DS Classic

Howdy! Its been a while. Hope everyone had a great holiday and new year! I am going to try something this year, I am going to actually try and wear all the polish I already have at least once instead of buying more and more that just sit untried. I am going to limit my purchases to colors that I OMG HAVE TO HAVE instead of buying a bunch each month. Most of my new purchases from this point on are likely to be from indie shops, as they seem to have the most cant live without stuff. I will still do any reviews that are sent to me of course, and try to get swatches of new stuff up as I get it mixed in with my older stuff as I work my way through my stash. So, that brings me to this first polish!

I have a job interview this afternoon, so when I was looking for a color to use last night I needed something interview appropriate. I finally settled on this one, OPI DS Classic. This was a gift from someone in my birthday club, which was a lot of fun but is now over as we did the full year. Not able to participate in on again due to finances, but it was a great time. DS Classic is a nude with holo, though I wasn't able to get much of the holo to show up. Its storming today, so I had to use indoor lighting and flash. I use 3 coats to fully cover and top coat. It went on easily, not quite as sheer on the first coat as I expected. I almost didn't need the 3rd coat, but did it to be safe. I am not much of a nude/neutral person or a brown person, but this polish is really beautiful and doesn't look bad with my light skin tone. Its a good color for work so you can be neutral while still having some fun with the holo in it.

Lac Attack Spring Fling collection

Hello, hope everyone is having a great weekend! Its been fairly nice here and that is always good. Today I have for you 4 of the 6 Lac Attack Spring Fling collection. I was sent these for review, and was sent all 6 but unfortunately 2 of them were smashed on arrival. It looked as if it was dropped and either stepped on or got rolled over with something the bottles were so smashed up. So sad to see such pretty polish in that state :(. But I still have 4 pretties to show you!

I also have a disclaimer to add as well, these are not my real nails. I have ordered myself a set of Custom Nail Solution nails, and to do the impressions I had to cut and file my nails to a shorter length then usual, and then I had 2 on my swatch hand break :(. So my nails are in no shape to be seen, especially since these are review polishes, I bought a set of plastic press on nails to wear for the weekend to do these swatches. I'm loving the length of these, and since there is a 3 day weekend this weekend coming up, I just might do this again. My impressions have been sent back so now I am just waiting for them to be made and sent back to me, and then as soon as school is over on June 13th I can start wearing them!

Anyway, on to the swatches!

Undies post!

Don't let the title scare you, todays post is a spam of some of the undies I have used under glitters that never got posted. Some of these colors I probably wouldn't wear very often by themselves, but they work great as undies.

First up I have a classic black, Sally Hansen Black Out. This was 2 coats, went on easily and was almost a 1 coater for me. Black isn't a color I can pull off alone, but I loved this under Floam when I wore it!

Nubar Blue Hydrangea is one I have used a couple of times as a base. I used it over Shimmer Jennifer and the yet unposted Naild It Dragon Scales. This is 2 coats, easy application.

Another Nubar I like as undies is Earthen. In fact, the whole Spring Flowers collection (or whatever it was called) are some of my go tos for undies. I don't really like the nude look, so I wouldn't wear this alone, but I love it for undies. This was 2 coats, but almost another 1 coater, and I've worn this over the posted Enkelini Cottage Garden.

China Glaze Gothic Lolita is a great purple. This shows 2 coats, and this I would wear on its own. I love purple. I used this one under Once Upon a Polish Ursula, which is still unposted.

Last for today I have OPI Pink Friday. I like pink, but I'm not too sure if this is one I would wear alone. Might have to wear it again to really decide. I've used this one over the (again) yet unposted Naild It Summer Lovin Melon, and I loved it. I did have to use 3 coats for it, it was still a little streaky after 2.

So there you go, some undes I have worn swatching indies, helping to clear out my unposted folder!

indie spam

Happy Friday! Sorry for not posting, with going back to work I have had trouble getting my schedule back. So since I don't really have any kind of post planned I decided to write up a spam post of some indies I have swatched but not gotten around to posting. I have a folder of over 100 pictures of different swatches that I need to get to, so expect more posts like this!

Pictures behind the cut :)

Glitzology review

Today I have for you some polishes by a new Etsy seller, Glitzology. Stacy is the creative mind behind the brand, and is lovely. When she asked for bloggers who wanted to review her polishes, I jumped at the chance, and she asked which polishes I wanted to review. After looking at everything she had, I had a short list of about half the shop! I was finally able to narrow it down to 6, but couldn't go any further, and left the decision up to her. I was surprised when she sent them all! I expected at most maybe 3 of the 6. So, yes these polishes were provided to me for review, but the opinions will be honest! Lets get to it shall we?

Halloween Challenge day 2

Today in the Halloween Challenge is Black Cats, and I have really waited til the last minute to post this! I forgot it was for today, so this is a quick post before bed. Pretty simple mani for this one, I used 2 coats of OPI Deutsch You Want Me Baby? and stamped with Wet N Wild Ebony Hates Chris with BM04 plate, with top coat over it. Not anything too special, but I seem to be improving on my stamping little by little!

Check out what everyone else did!

Nail mail and recent purchases

Within the last week I have received my shipments from Spooky Bones, Dollish Polish (both from Etsy), and Ninja Polish. I was going to wait to post this until I got my Zoya order as well, but it can take a while to get stuff from them for some reason. Of course now it will be here tomorrow since I'm posting! I also bought a couple polishes recently while out shopping to show you. I have a 3 day weekend this week, so hopefully I can wear at least 2 of these colors in that time. Hope the sun stays out!

There will be lots of pictures so they are after the cut!

Nail mail!!!

I just love getting mail, and its even better when its polish! Thanks to one of my best friends I received today the OPI Holland collection and China Glaze Hunger Games collection colors I wanted! Living in England means I don't have easy access to new collections in a timely manor (we just got the OPI Nicki Minaj collection, and Holland won't be in til next month most likely) or easy access to most brands. The salon nearest me only stocks OPI, I can get Sally Hanson, Wet N Wild and Rimmel (but not the newest stuff til way after release) at the nearest store, but its a bit of a drive to get to anywhere else that sells polish. So I rely on internet ordering and 2 very kind friends to let me ship to them or buy it for me and then ship it on.

I can't wait to try these all out. I'm a huge Hunger Games fan and can't wait to see the movie. I will be wearing one of these colors when i go, probably Riveting because its the one I wanted most!

OPI Did It On 'Em

Today I have Did It On 'Em from the OPI Nicki Minaj collection. When I first saw the release for this collection, I disliked this color. When they finally got the collection in at the salon here (last week) I bought the mini set of 4 of the colors. After I got home I put each color on a nail to check them out, and was surprised by how much more I liked this once it was on. And I loved the other 3 as well, so much so that I went back to the salon the next day and bought full size bottles of the 4 mini colors I had, plus the black glitter one. While this isn't my favorite of the collection, it looks way better in person on the nail than I thought it would. I used 4 coats on this because it did weird things at the ends of my nails, and still didn't look perfect, but top coat helped a lot to even it out. I think that may be because even though I'm holding the full size bottle in the picture, I used the mini bottle to paint which was a little awkward. I took the photo inside in direct light, and of all the pictures I took this is the only one I feel looks like the true color. Every other pic made it look either too yellow or too green. I'm glad I got at least one good picture.
