New Anne Kathleen collection

*Press Sample Provided For Honest Review*

Today I have for you the new collection from Anne Kathleen that released today! It consists of 5 fun silver glitter toppers and is called Snowfall In Silver. Lets see them shall we!

First up is Silvana, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic star glitters and small silver holographic hex glitter. I used 1 coat over Orly Gumdrop, and it went on easily. I didn't have to fish for the stars, they came out on their own.

Next is Silvia, a linear silver holographic polish with holographic bar glitter. I'm not usually a big fan of bar glitter, but there is something mesmerizing about the way the holo makes this look that I love. I used 1 coat over Nubar Honeysuckle and again it applied easily.

This is Silver, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic hex glitters. I used 1 coat over Zoya Paz. Easy application, lots of glitter with just one coat.

Sylvan is a linear silver holographic polish with different size square holographic glitters. I used 1 coat over OPI Dating a Royal. I did have a slight issue getting a lot of the square glitters to come out, but it applied well other than that.

Last is Silvestra, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic hex glitters. I used 1 coat over China Glaze Mediterranean Charm. This is similar to Silver with the hex glitters in both, but still different because of the sizes used. This applied easily as well.

So there you have the newest collection from Anne Kathleen! I think there is something here for anybody looking for a silver holo glitter topper, there is enough variety in the shapes. These released today, so they are available now for purchase. Keep up to date with Anne Kathleen at any of the links below!

Happy Friday! Sorry for not posting, with going back to work I have had trouble getting my schedule back. So since I don't really have any kind of post planned I decided to write up a spam post of some indies I have swatched but not gotten around to posting. I have a folder of over 100 pictures of different swatches that I need to get to, so expect more posts like this!

Halloween Challenge - Blood/Gore/Spatter

Today is blood/gore/spatter int eh Halloween challenge. This one I think is my favorite one I've done so far, its also the first time I have done anything like this. I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen White On and that spattered Orly Ignite over it. It got a little messy but I like it that way!

Sat-ART-Day presesnts - Tarts!

Today marks the first challenge in the new Sat-ART-Day challenge from Crumpets Nail Tarts! Fittingly, todays theme is tarts. I had such a hard time coming up with any ideas for this, especially since my nail art skills are limited lol. So, here is what I came up with!

Fruit tarts! (sort of lol) I used 2 coats of Orly Glow as my 'pastry colored' base, and stamped the fruit on using BM04 and BM05. The orange is Sally Hansen Sun Kissed, the grapes are China Glaze Grape Pop, the strawberry is Wet N Wild Everybody Loves Redmond and the lemon is Zoya Pippa.

I like the way this turned out, even if it isn't the best interpretation of the theme! I'm really enjoying these challenges I have going on, even if I have no clue what to do for a few of them!

Double Orly

Happy Monday! Today was my first day back to work, so sadly that means no more nail polish during the week, and after just one day in the dish room my poor nails are suffering already :(. I'm already looking at all the days off we get for 3 and 4 day weekends, holidays and spring break lol. But I have lots of swatches done already, and I plan to still do more as time allows. I also have a challenge coming up soonish, and will hopefully start up some features to give the blog some sort of schedule, so hopefully it shouldn't get too dull! I have a bit more going on this year than last year, I am a co-leader for my daughters Daisy troop which will keep me busy, plus helping out at the school on top of work and everything else! Good thing I am very organized by nature, I'm going to need it!

Today I have the last 2 of the Orly neons that I bought, Beach Cruiser and Skinny Dip. I love neons, I think they just might be my favorite type of color/finish after holos, and just above duo/multichromes. Its a pretty close race though! I wore both of these earlier this summer, both were two coats with normal base and top coats, I didn't use white under these this time. Formula was good, went on a little patchy on the first coat but giving it a couple minutes to dry before the second coat it evened out perfectly with no problems. I do believe Orly is quickly climbing up the list of my favorite big name brands!

First I have Beach Cruiser, a very bright hot pink creme. I wore this one to a birthday party for a 7 year old, and everyone loved it! I don't think I have ever gotten so many compliments on polish before. I found myself checking out my nails quite often as well. Here it is, in the sun:

And then we have Skinny Dip, a bright blue creme. If I had to pick a least favorite out of the 4 I bought, this would probably be it,  but with as much as I like this one, that isn't a bad thing! It is a bright blue, but compared to the other 3 I have it is the least neon out of them. It is still a great blue, almost a sky blue but brighter. Here it is in the sun as well:

I really love all 4 of the Orly neons I bought, and since I don't really follow trends I'm sure I will find myself reaching for these over the fall and winter when I need some cheering up from the lovely British weather lol.

Orly Fired Up collection for fall

Today I have the Orly Fired Up collection, new for fall. I'm surprised by how much I like this collection, there were a couple I was sure I wouldn't like very much, but once they were on I changed my mind. I'm starting to learn that I can like almost any color of polish, even colors I don't normally like. I can't really say if any of these colors are completely original or if there are dupes out there for them, but in my stash I have nothing like them. I know its only August, but I am ready for fall and Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! Fall is my favorite season, so I was excited to see the deeper colors come out for nail polish. For all but one color the formula was great, not too thick and went on easily, so I will say that up here. Here are the bottles for this collection:

Glow, Flare, Rapture, Ignite, Smolder and Flicker
The rest of the pics I will put under the cut!

Orly Glowstick

Todays post is going to be short. Not too much to say about this polish other than ITS BRIGHT! Orly Glowstick is a neon yellow highlighter color. I don't really like yellow, but one way to make me like it is to make it neon. Formula was great, I used 2 coats over 2 coats of Wet 'N Wild French White Creme (or whatever its name is lol) Went on easily with no clean up needed. On to the picture!

Nail Mail

Today was the last day of school, woohoo! I am now off work until the end of August. Looking forward to doing a lot of reading and making a dent in all my untried polishes. This past week I got in quite a few polishes I ordered, and am still waiting on quite a few more. Lets take a look shall we?

Orly Melt Your Popsicle

I am in love with this polish! Tomorrow is the last day of work for the summer, a short 3 hours of cleaning, so I get to wear polish. So I took this as an invitation to wear the brightest color I have of course :). I just got this in the mail this week, and actually ave a nail mail post all ready to go, but I just had to post this first it is so amazing. I used 2 coats of Wet N Wild French White Creme and then 3 coats of Melt Your Popsicle. Even after the first coat I could tell this would be bright. And it just got better as I went. Formula was good, no real issues with application. Because we are going to be cleaning tomorrow I don't expect this to make it out in tact so I wasn't quite as careful as I could have been so you might see a couple spots where its kinda patchy, that is from the white. It could have probably used a third coat but oh well. The first pic is taken outside with slight sun peeking out from the clouds and the second I wanted to use a white backdrop to try to show the full neon-ness off. If you like neons, you need to have this one in your collection!
