Anne Kathleen Giblet collection plus SALE!

 *press sample*

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a wonderful day. I had to work, but it was a really fun day, I work with some awesome people. Today I have for you Anne Kathleens newest collection, the Giblet collection. It consists of 4 new polishes, and they are all super pretty. Since the formula and application is the same for all, I'm just going to say it here. They all applied easily, and were just the right consistency, not to think or thin. I used 2 coats for them all and had excellent coverage. Lets see them!

First up is Lauda, a gold shimmer with scattered holo. Love the holo & shimmer in this.

Next is Oksana. This is a medium brown with scattered holo. I love anything holo, but sadly my camera seems to hate most holos. No matter how I try, some just will not be captured and this is one of them. But its there.

Sana is a dark brown scattered holo. This one you can see the holo in a bit better thankfully!

Last I have Thana. This one is a glitter topper, but I decided to see how it would do on its own. It does quite well, and is gorgeous! My camera loved this one, so you get to see it in all its glory! This is packed full of fine gold holo pigments, and is stunning. Would make a great New Years Eve mani!

There you have the Giblet collection. My favorite is Thana, but they are all really pretty and you cant go wrong with any of them! Now, I mentoned something about a sale. Heres all the info!

Sale runs from Black Friday, Nov 28 - Cyber Monday, Dec 1st
Sale is for 25% off all orders and code is: TURKEYTURKEY

I have also been informed that a new collection is being released on Dec 1st, called the Holiday Night Lights collection, 6 jelly glitter glow in the dark polishes. Code will still be active for the relese of those so keep an eye out!

New Anne Kathleen collection

*Press Sample Provided For Honest Review*

Today I have for you the new collection from Anne Kathleen that released today! It consists of 5 fun silver glitter toppers and is called Snowfall In Silver. Lets see them shall we!

First up is Silvana, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic star glitters and small silver holographic hex glitter. I used 1 coat over Orly Gumdrop, and it went on easily. I didn't have to fish for the stars, they came out on their own.

Next is Silvia, a linear silver holographic polish with holographic bar glitter. I'm not usually a big fan of bar glitter, but there is something mesmerizing about the way the holo makes this look that I love. I used 1 coat over Nubar Honeysuckle and again it applied easily.

This is Silver, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic hex glitters. I used 1 coat over Zoya Paz. Easy application, lots of glitter with just one coat.

Sylvan is a linear silver holographic polish with different size square holographic glitters. I used 1 coat over OPI Dating a Royal. I did have a slight issue getting a lot of the square glitters to come out, but it applied well other than that.

Last is Silvestra, a linear silver holographic polish with different size silver holographic hex glitters. I used 1 coat over China Glaze Mediterranean Charm. This is similar to Silver with the hex glitters in both, but still different because of the sizes used. This applied easily as well.

So there you have the newest collection from Anne Kathleen! I think there is something here for anybody looking for a silver holo glitter topper, there is enough variety in the shapes. These released today, so they are available now for purchase. Keep up to date with Anne Kathleen at any of the links below!

Anne Kathleen - Pumpkin Smashing Not Advised Collection

***Press Sample***

Today I am here with the new Halloween collection from Anne Kathleen called Pumpkin Smashing Not Advised. The collection consists of 5 polishes. Lets see them shall we!

First up I have Blair, a pale yellow creme. I am not a big yellow fan, but this one is actually quite nice and even looks pretty flattering on. I used 3 coats to even everything out as it was a little streaky on the first coat.

Next up I have Tabitha, a peach colored creme. This is very pretty. I used 3 coats again to make it even as the first coat was a bit streaky.

Carrie is the glitter topper of the set. Its a clear base with fine black and orange glitter with black holo stars. I didn't have too much trouble getting the stars out, I only had to fish around for them for 2 nails. They came out easily for the others. I used 1 coat over both Blair and Tabitha.

Next is Morticia, a black with holo sparkle. I used 2 coats of Morticia, but 1 was almost enough. I tried everything to get my camera to pick up the holo sparkle but it just wouldn't. Its there, I still have it on as I type this and even in the low indoor lighting I can see it. Even in direct sun my camera just said nope, not gonna show it!

Last I have my favorite of the collection, Autumn. I just adore this color, its beautiful! Autumn is a dark orange with holo sparkle. I used 2 coats here as well. Again my camera was being fussy, the holo is there, but its not as strong in Autumn as it is in Morticia.

All 5 colors applied really well, I had no issues besides what was already mentioned. Overall this is a really great fun collection for Halloween! The Pumpkin Smashing Not Advised collection is on sale now, so head on over to any of the links below for more information and to purchase!

New Pretty & Polished!

*Provided for Review*

Happy Saturday! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Today I have a post that was supposed to go up a couple days ago, but in the middle of getting it ready my laptop finally died. Got a new one yesterday, and Im taking a break getting it all set up to make sure this gets posted!

Today I have 4 new Pretty & Polished colors to show you from new collections. First up I have Hootin' & Holoin' from the Summer Fun FX collection. This is a deep red with loads of holo shimmer. I used 3 coats and it went on super easily. Its very strange that in the bottle inside it looks sort of brownish but is definitely red on the nail and in the bottle outside. Beautiful color no matter what though!

Next I have another Summer Fun FX color, Solar Opposites. This one changes from a white base to a light blue in direct sunlight, with various sizes of blue and light green hex glitters. I used 3 coats again and it went on easy with good glitter coverage without fishing.

Now for 2 colors from the Guardians of the Galaxy collection. First is Draximum Security a blue jelly base with tons of blue glitters and red shards. I used 3 coats, and had a little bit of trouble since it is so packed with glitter. You need to let the coats dry a bit in between to prevent it dragging to the tip and clumping up, and it does need a couple coats of top coat to smooth it all out. But its worth it! Confession on this picture: I wore this for 3 days at work before taking this picture, where I do a lot of scrubbing and cleaning with steel scrubbing pads, and this wears like a champ! I had the tiniest bit of tip wear and no chips after those 3 days. I am super impressed!

Last I have another Guardians of the Galaxy collection color, Something Good, Something Bad...A Bit of Both. This is my favorite of the 4, I just love it! Its a black jelly base with a red shimmer and red glitters. I used 3 coats, and could have probably used 1 more based on the picture, but in person I couldnt see any bald spots. This went on easily and is just so pretty!

All these polishes are available now at the Pretty & Polished shop HERE

3 Nail Honey polishes

*Provided at a discount for review*

Hi all! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I have been working a lot, I just recently went to full time so I'm even busier than before. Today I have 3 polished from Nail Honey to show you.

How cute is this little bee on the tops of the lids???

First up is Matte Icing. Matte Icing is a shimmery sparkly top coat that dries to a matte finish as the name suggests. I used 1 coat over Colors by Llarowe Ocean Water with and without top coat. It went on really well with lots of shimmer and dried quickly. This is sooo pretty!

Next up I have Blue Raspberry, a blue leaning purple with shimmer that dries matte. I used 3 coats, it went on a little thick so I will probably thin it slightly next time, but otherwise had good application.

Last I have Mango. Mango is an orange creme with a hint of shimmer that dries matte. Again I used 3 coats and will probably thin before next use a bit, but still had good application.

3 Marbles For Polish! colors

Hi there! Hope everyone is having a good weekend and is enjoying Fathers Day with all the special men in their lives. Not able to see my dad today but I have spent time with my husband and father in law. Today I have three polishes that were sent to me for review from the semi-new Marbles For Polish! She has got a lot of great colors and I love the 3 that I got. Lets begin!

First up is Lust, part of the 7 Deadly Sins collection. Lust is a deep midnight blue with scattered holo and it is gorgeous! I used 2 coats, but 1 was almost enough with this one. Went on easily and is just the right consistency that I like. Its still super pretty in the shade!

Next up is The Soldier, from the Assemble! collection. This collection is based off the Avengers, and The Soldier is of course Captain America. I was never the biggest Captain America fan until Chris Evans started playing him in the movies, but I love him now! He always just seemed a little too big of a goody goody even for a good guy, but the recent movies make him way cooler and with more sense of humor. Being really hot doesn't hurt much either though ;). Anyway, back to the polish! This one is a blue jelly with matte red bars and silver glitter. As a warning, this may cause some staining so be sure to use a good base coat with a couple coats! I used 3 coats here with easy application, no fishing required. For some reason the red didn't want to show up on my camera as red, but in person you could clearly see the red in it. I love how the sliver glitters come out to play more in the shaded picture!

And lastly we have the color that had been put up for a naming contest on the Marbles For Polish ! FB page, and the winning name is Mermaid Summer! Such a fitting name. This one is a teal with holo shimmer in it. Very pretty color, I loved it so much while swatching it that I went ahead and did a full mani and wore it for 3 days! I used 3 coats again, with no application issues.

All of these polishes and more can be purchased at the Marbles For Polish Etsy store HERE
I really love these 3 colors and hope you do too!

Rainbow Honey Lovebug

Well hello there! Its been a minute hasn't it. Sometimes I just can not get into the swing of actually getting posts up. I've been doing my nails and (sometimes) taking pictures, but my laptop had a bit of an issue for a while where it was overheating and shutting off whenever it felt like it. So we tried to use it as little as possible, until we got an external fan for it. We have had good luck so far with it, its been a couple weeks, so I am going to try to venture back into this blogging thing. Clearly I can make no promises though lol.

Today Im going to keep it fairly short, I have Rainbow Honeys Lovebug that I wore a while ago to show you. Lovebug is a milky white base with pink flowers & blue hearts, with some iridescent glitters and shimmers. I used 3 coats plus top coat. Very pretty delicate color!

2 Model City Resident Evil polishes!

Today I have for you something I am very excited about. When Nina of Model City said she was doing a Resident Evil inspired collection, I couldn't wait to see them. I love the Resident Evil series, I have played Resident Evil 2 more times than I can count, its a favorite of mine. I was so excited when Nina said she was sending me 2 of the new colors to review, so here they are!

First up I have S.T.A.R.S.  S.T.A.R.S is a rich blue jelly blend with gold holographic glitter in two sizes and gold holographic stars. A base coat is recommended by Nina, though I had no issues with staining. Better safe than sorry! This blue is so deep looking, its going to be a favorite of mine I can tell. I used 3 coats and top coat with no issues with the glitters.

Next I have Licker, some of the best monsters in the game! This is a coral base with pink shimmer and red flecks. I again used 3 coats and top coat. This one started out really sheer, but then built up very nicely by the next coat. Out of habit to try to ensure max coverage in photos I almost always use 3 coats, shorter nails will possibly only need 2.

I really love both of these colors and cant wait to be able to purchase the rest of the collection!

The Resident Evil collection will be launched on March 22nd at 12pm CST over at Model City Polish so set your alarms to be sure not to miss out!

Rainbow Honey Midnight Fountain

Quick post for you today, since I have been so bad at updating! I have Rainbow Honey Midnight Fountain. I used 3 coats and top coat, and it went on easily. I love this color, its such a pretty blue! The holo glitters came out super easily too.

OPI Yodel Me On My Cell

Hi! I had not planned on not updating for over 2 weeks, I thought I had some posts scheduled but apparently I did something and that didn't happen. So, I will manually publish posts and not rely on the scheduler, and I will keep this post short and to the point.

Today I have OPI Yodel Me On My Cell, a beautiful blue. I used 3 coats with top coat and it went on nicely. I used this previously as undies for Rainbow Honeys The Kraken. I love blue, but even though I have quite a few blues I seem to never wear them! I really need to fix that.

Cult Nails Be Loco

Happy Thursday! This week has been pretty nice with not having to get up at 6 am with snow days, and tomorrow is a 2 hour delay so I get to sleep until at least 8. But having to work at 7am Sunday means I have to be up early that day, so that sucks. But I get off at 2 which means I will be home in plenty of time for the Super Bowl! I'm more interested in seeing Bruno Mars at the halftime show but I will still enjoy the game. I'm going for Denver just because I always pick one team that I want to win whether I'm a fan of either team or not.

Anyway, today I bring you Cult Nails Be Loco. You saw this one under glitter yesterday, so I am now showing it alone. Its a great orange color, it still surprises me how much I love orange nail polish colors when its my second least favorite color normally! I used 3 coats and top coat, and it went on like a dream.

Rainbow Honey

Hi! Hope everyone is doing well, the week is half over! This post should have been up a couple days ago but my cat got hurt and unfortunately was too hurt and had to be put to sleep yesterday, so its been a rough couple of days. Today is a snow day for us here so I am taking the opportunity while being lazy to get this post up. Tomorrow is likely to be another snow day, with at least a 2 hour delay so hopefully I can bring you another post tomorrow.

Today I have some polishes from Rainbow Honey that were provided for review. They consist of 2 of their Valentines Collection that was released last year and that has been re-released with 3 more this year, 2 of their most popular glitters from last year, and 1 upcoming polish from their spring collection. I actually have purchased the 4 colors already out for myself when they were released, but haven't reviewed them yet, so now I will!

First I have Be Mine from the Valentines Sweet Talk collection. This is a pretty pink with gold flecks and shimmer. I used 3 coats and top coat. It went on very easily.

Next up I have XOXO, which I put 1 coat of over Be Mine with top coat. This went on easily with good glitter coverage for just the one coat. XOXO is a clear base with different sizes and shapes of pink glitter with flakes.

Now I have the first of the 2 best sellers from last year. Summer Blossom is a clear base with iridescent and holo glitters and orange, white and yellow blossoms. I used 2 coats with top coat over Cult Nails Be Loco. The blossoms came out fairly easily, with at least 1 with each dip of the brush.

The second of the best sellers is The Kraken. I love this one, its super pretty! The Kraken is a jelly filled with blue and green glitters and shimmer. I used 1 coat with top coat over OPI Yodel Me On My Cell, even though this can be worn on its own in about 3 coats. 1 coat over the base completely covered the nail.

Lastly I have Papillion, the glitter from the upcoming Midnight Garden Spring collection. I used 2 coats with top coat over Nubar Honeysuckle. This is a clear base with different sizes of holographic glitter and holo butterflies. It is super pretty, and I think it will look good over a variety of bases.

As a bonus for you all, Rainbow Honey has generously given me a promo code for you all to use! Use the code ILOVENAILBLOGS to save $5 off your next order. Code expires 3/31/14 so that gives you time to decide what to buy!
